On Saturday night, the Chargers faced considerable challenges entering the game against the Bills. Missing their starting quarterback and top two centers, and led by an interim head coach in his inaugural game in a role higher than a position coach, the odds were stacked against them. Nevertheless, they put up a spirited fight. Despite recording three takeaways, the Chargers narrowly lost to the Bills with a final score of 24-22.

Easton Stick delivered a solid performance, with a clean game of 23-of-33 passing for 210 yards and no touchdowns.

Austin Ekeler showcased a revitalized form, rushing for 65 yards on 15 attempts (4.3 YPC) and contributing three catches for 23 yards. Joshua Palmer led the team in receiving yards with 47, while Gerald Everett secured a team-high seven receptions.

Derwin James led the defensive effort with eight total tackles, and Eric Kendricks and Tuli Tuipulotu combined for the team’s lone sack of the night.

Cameron Dicker was a reliable force, converting all five of his field goal attempts, including a crucial 53-yarder that briefly gave them a late 22-21 lead.

Looking ahead, the Chargers will hit the road to face the Broncos in Denver next Sunday, on December 31st.
